Essay on my duty towards my nation

The oceans that wash her coasts on three sides and the mighty Himalayas that stand on the north have given my country natural frontiers from sides.

Again, the lure of the mountains has attracted many adventures to this land of rich culture. Ours is a secular state. In her lap breathe the happy followers of the various religions of the world.

We have a unique culture which has devolved through the centuries. There is much diversity among our people. We speak many languages, worship many gods and yet we have the same spirit, the spirit of India, running through all parts of our country binding us together.

We have great unity in diversity. A patriot is an example of someone who observes and practices these rules. Unfortunately, this attitude is difficult to bring about in many people.

Developing a country to make it better is the first and foremost duty of every citizen. Like every other person, even I have my own roles and responsibilities in the development of my country, Nepal. Development for a country is essential like oxygen for living things.

Development gives any country the fresh breath of air which living things need. I am not a grown-up with much knowledge about my country but I am positively aware of the role I must play in order to improve the condition of my country. People should follow all the rules, regulations and laws made by the government for their safety and betterment of life.

They should believe in equality and live with proper equation in the society. Being a common citizen, no one shows sympathy with the crime and must raise voice against that. People in India have power to elect their chief minister, prime minister, and other political leader through their votes, so they never waste their votes by selecting bad leaders who can corrupt their country.

However, they should understand and know properly about his leaders and then give right vote. Their duty is to make their country clean and beautiful. They should not destroy and dirt the heritages and other tourist places.

People must take interest in the daily news other than their daily routine activities in order to know what bad or good are going on in their country.
